Dear Families,
Thank you to all who came out to join us as we celebrated May Faire together! We've received lots of positive feedback about this fun and festive event and look forward to holding it again next year!
Many classes have held their plays and a number will be continuing to hold these for the next few weeks. Please watch your emails from your child's teacher about upcoming plays. Your students have done very well preparing and performing. For some, this is their very first time in a play! Thanks to those who have helped in any way with these class productions! They are a highlight for each class and hold many fond memories for the students.
We still have some excellent activities to look forward to before the school year ends. On Wednesday evening, we invite you to a choir and orchestra concert. The following Thursday, June 3rd, we invite you to hear from our school counselor, Melissa Blummell. She will be speaking on the importance of emotional health with the topic of "Resilience." Please see the flyers below for more information.
The orders for school t-shirts and hoodies have come in and these will be sent home with the students who placed orders. These can be worn any school day.
The yearbooks look amazing and show in an artistic way all the great things we've accomplished this year! A special thank you to Melissa Hamer and her team for doing such an excellent job on them! The yearbooks will be dispersed the last week of school.
June 14-30 we will have limited office hours from 10-2. The school will be closed in July and open again with limited office hours August 2-13 from 10-2. Office hours will resume to normal once school begins August 16.
Kindergarten ends a week earlier than the other grades. (Please see the calendar at the end of the newsletter). Our kindergarten teachers will be conducting end of year assessments. June 10th is the last day for all students and will be early release at 12:30.
Thank you so much for the part you've played in Mountain Sunrise Academy's success this year! It has been a terrific opening year for us and we look forward to more learning and memories to be made next year!
